Church happens on Sunday and all through the week. Here are the places most people at Lumen start.

Ages 0 to 11
Lumen Kids
Sunday kids church, a safe check-in and a summer camp that fills up by March.
Every Sunday at 11 children go to their own service with songs, a story and a craft, led by a trained and background-checked team. Babies and toddlers have a quiet room with a parent screen.
Ages 11 to 18
Youth
Friday nights, a weekend retreat in the fall and room to ask hard questions.
Friday youth night meets in the undercroft at 7:30 with food, games and an honest talk. Small groups meet by school year, and the fall retreat goes to a lake in New Hampshire.

Choir and band
Music
A community choir, a Sunday band and an evening service sung by candlelight.
The choir rehearses on Thursdays at 7 and sings at the 9 o’clock and evening services. No audition, only a willingness to come every week. The band serves at 11.
Weeknights across the city
Groups
Twenty small groups in living rooms from Dorchester to Cambridge.
Groups of six to twelve people meet every other week to read, pray and eat together. New groups start in September and January; we will help you find one near home.

Pastoral team
Care and prayer
Hospital visits, prayer after every service and a listening ear when life is hard.
A trained care team visits people in hospital and at home, and prays with anyone after every service. Ask at the welcome desk or write to the office and a pastor will call you back.
Saturdays, 10 to 1
Community pantry
Groceries for 400 households a week, no questions asked.
The pantry opens every Saturday morning in the hall. It runs on 120 volunteers and on gifts from the congregation and local businesses. Anyone in the neighborhood is welcome.

Wednesdays and Sundays
The long table
A free supper every Wednesday and lunch after the 11 o’clock service.
We eat together twice a week because that is where most friendships at Lumen begin. Cooks, setters and washers-up are always welcome.
